[1] Introduction

    (1) This release supports
            Mojave, Catalina (x86_64), and
            Big Sur (x86_64 and arm64).
        (and hopefully older/newer macOSes).
    (2) If you find any problem, please report it to the OCTA BBS.

[2] How to install

    (0) IMPORTANT: (If you are using Catalina or later)
        In Terminal.app (% is the shell's prompt)

        % cd ~/Download      # or to the directory OCTA-mac.tar.bz2 is in
        % xattr -c OCTA84-mac.tar.bz2

        This removes the information that the .tar.bz2 is downloaded from
        the Net, and forces macOS to believe that its contents need not
        be quarantined. Please do this only if you are sure that OCTA-BBS
        is NOT hacked by malicous guys.

        If you skip this process, you will get a dialog each time Gourmet
        (or simulation engines) use a new library (or a program).
        See App-cannot-be-opend.txt for more detail.

    (1) Expand the archive OCTA84-mac.tar.bz2 into any directory you like.
        For example, if you want to expand it under your home directory:

        % cd
        % tar xvf /path/to/OCTA84-mac.tar.bz2

    
    (2) Read and agree with the license documents in OCTA84/DOCUMENTS/
        before installing OCTA.

    (3) Follow the instructions in OCTA84/DOCUMENTS/INSTALL-mac.pdf.
